Peaceful Horse is an international educational initiative dedicated to human embodied presence and listening. Erika Rado, in collaboration with her horses, in full liberty, invite you to participate in learning to listen with your whole body and practice accessing creative intelligence with guidance.

Animal Communication
The art of connection involves the sense of being seen by another with care. To listen, bridge the gaps, and be as clear as possible in my work with you and your animal companion. This is what these sessions are about. My goal is to be a liaison for you and your horse, dog or cat. I often find that once the animal recognizes that they are being listened to, (especially horses), they have a long laundry list of things they want to make sure they get to say. I am here for both of you so that there is joy and balance in the connection.
Background
Erika’s background as a professional animal communicator and intuitive animal wellness practitioner (together with her career as a human medical massage therapist) were the forerunners of her willingness to intervene on behalf of neighboring neglected horses. Their daily one-to-one teachings paired with her desire, tenacity, research and study of horses from head to tail has inspired Erika to be a guide to others. She is here to share this with passionate horse lovers who wish to actively listen to horses, and relate to them in their language, naturally. The skill of active listening has diverse, beneficial applications throughout life, both personally and professionally.

Can you imagine the visceral feeling of connecting with a horse, without even being in physical contact with one? Relational Horsemanship training is the very first step in associating with horses. Every level is on the ground with horses. Therefore, this is not a riding school. The benefits of Peaceful Horsemanship to the human experience are countless and limitless.

Peaceful Horse Individual Lessons with Erika will lead to refined skills in listening and presence that reach across to other areas of your daily life: how we interact with and listen to humans and non-humans alike, fostering a positive inner presence in community and social fabric for all ages—from young adults to elders—at home and at work. Lessons in listening start where you’re at.
Individual Lessons
How we begin, what to expect, how to sign up:
After the initial inquiry, you’ll receive an introductory message to schedule an interview to talk about level of experience and goals, in order to discern if Peaceful Horsemanship is the best fit, and we go from there. Training takes place at our private pasture, outdoors.
Students may have the opportunity to learn one-to-one with Erika and the horses, or part of a group no larger than four participants.
The horses naturally observe, test and communicate with us in micro-subtle cues, always in the moment, and so begins our education. We will have time to experiment and practice sensing and noticing on the level that the horses use, in addition to engaging with the horses at a distance, contact-free. There is a wealth of communicated messages that they give, and we give. Becoming aware is the bedrock to this process. We tune our senses and learn. We remain flexible to the living curriculum, which is uniquely fresh every day, influenced by the environment and so many other factors! Training at Peaceful Horse is in real-time, in-the-moment, and outdoors. Erika is your guide, interpreter, and helper every step of the way.

The Approach, Level 1
We begin with our contact-free baseline with the horses. We respect that you may have prior equine education and experience. This is going to be a new, micro-focused approach that continues to refine, even throughout all the levels. We are going back to an ancient way of exchanging information that will enhance your previous equine experiences, but prior knowledge is not required. How quickly students move through each level is very individual and is best thought of as an evolving spiral development rather than linear. Our horses lead the way, with Erika as your guide and interpreter. More details are provided as to The Approach process during the initial interview.
The Offering, Level 2
Building connection. Students start to see a shift, with enough of the foundation of The Approach, they are able to offer their touch to the horses, still at liberty. A wealth of communication and nuances are presented as students offer their touch to horses at liberty.
The Well of Connection, Level 3
Students learn to interact in the safe container of the picadero, a unique training area used in ancient horse training methods, with our horses or their own horse if they are able to transport them to our private pasture for class time.
Peaceful Horse Workshops
Learning Relational Horsemanship in groups safely gives students the appropriate and necessary facility of respect and attentiveness before ever touching a horse to groom them, feed them, or ride them. Together, we cultivate within ourselves, the essential communication skills of horses, which is the foundation that every equestrian dreams of with their horse.
